Join your hosts Rob Galluzzo, Elric Kane and Rebekah McKendry as they discuss all the latest horrors on a new Shock Waves! Elric is back from New York and tells us about the films he's seen at the Tribeca Film Festival, including THE ENDLESS and SUPER DARK TIMES. He also reports back on NY viewings of ABBY, HIGH TENSION, NIGHT OF 1000 CATS, FEAR CITY, Dario Argento's INFERNO and TERROR TRAIN. Bekah caught the indie flick THE TRANSFIGURATION, revisited BRAIN DAMAGE, and read DISSOLVING CHILDREN. Rob saw PSYCHIC KILLER, the madness of DEMON WIND, and a double feature of THE ABOMINABLE DR. PHIBES and THE HOUSE THAT DRIPPED BLOOD.
Then we welcome to the show Jim Kunz, an unsung jack-of-all-trades one-man-crew that's worked with everyone from Elvira, to Crispin Glover, to Richard Stanley and more. He's been responsible for the bonus features and restorations for hundreds of titles from Scream Factory, Severin Films, Grindhouse Releasing, Blue Underground, Code Red DVD, Arrow Video, Drafthouse Releasing and many, many more. This truly is behind-the-scenes insight at many of the discs in your home library from someone who has worked on them all! We also get first word on his anthology flick BETAMAX, and his upcoming documentary on movie novelizations. Kick back, relax and join the conversation!
Join your hosts Rob Galluzzo, Rebekah McKendry and Ryan Turek as they catch up on all the latest horrors! First up, Ryan revisited THE BLOB 88 after last week's interview with FX legend Tony Gardner, as well as TALES FROM THE HOOD. He also watched THE LESSON, the live action version of ATTACK ON TITAN and the ROAD WARRIORS rip-off movie from CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST's Ruggero Deodato RAIDERS OF ATLANTIS. Bekah was amused by HANSEL AND GRETEL GET BAKED, and tells us about the comic book GYO. Ryan reports back on the recently released HOUSE box set from Arrow Video. He marathoned all 4 films in the franchise and gives us his thoughts! Then, we open up the show to our Facebook Shock Waves Movie Club group and answer listener questions. We tackle topics such as why we haven't seen any modern, iconic "slashers" villains, to scariest real life situations we'd make into movies, to what we think would make a horror script stand out. We even pull some stories on what we've found most surprising from previous guests on the show! Lot of fun ground is covered, so kick back, and join the conversation!

Then we welcome to the show special guests Andre Gower and Ryan Lambert, Sean and Rudy from THE MONSTER SQUAD! We ask them about their experiences making that film as child actors, the ever growing cult following of the flick, and what the convention circuit is like. Then, each of us builds our own "monster squad!" We select 5 monsters we'd love to see team up, and then we pit them against our 5 choices for heroes that would make up our own personalized "Monster Squad!" Kick back, relax and join the conversation!
